VIDEO PORTRAITS

VILLA PANZA

The renowned Villa Panza in Varese, Italy commissioned artist Robert Wilson to create a video piece for their permanent collection. Lumen Arts, collaborating closely with Wilson, delved into Italian folklore and fairy tales, drawing inspiration from Italo Calvino's "Fiabe Italiane" (Italian Folktales). This research formed the foundation for a captivating video art triptych. Lumen Arts took on a comprehensive role in the project, handling the filming of animals, managing all post-production work, and ultimately installing the finished piece at Villa Panza. This project seamlessly blended traditional Italian storytelling with contemporary video art techniques, resulting in a unique addition to Villa Panza's esteemed collection.
