Hermes Maison commissioned new video work from Robert Wilson for an exhibition & product launch event in New York.
Robert Wilson turned to Lumen Arts to help him develop them, and then to make them.

LUMEN’S WORK
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
Story-telling. We always start with a story. We exchanged ideas of visual story-telling with Robert Wilson by first exploring veins of storytelling already part of the Hermes larger visual narrative.
STORYBOARDING & MOCK-UPS
We worked with Robert Wilson in the painstaking process of putting image to vision by making hundreds of Photoshop image mock-ups including multiple variations on the smallest themes within a larger framework.
BUDGETING & APPROVAL
We find the way to create 100% of Robert Wilson’s vision in the most economical and streamlined way, working with him or his studio to customize our approach to suit his particular process best.
FILMING ANIMALS
We work with board certified, licensed, and insured animal handlers to find our talent. On set we give them authority to say how we shoot, for how long, to provide the greatest care is taken.
EDITING
We are a fully equipt 4k editing post production house with a wide range of skills and tools that allow us to work with Robert Wilson remotely on daily edits to the work and still ensure correct color, movement, timing, and integration with audio.
INSTALLATION
As Robert Wilson’s preferred video installation company, we were brought in early during the drawing phase of the event, and so could oversee and contribute to all aspects of the equipment, placement, rigging, and seamless playback.
